Centre for Movement Studies presents

PELVIC FLOOR: The Invisible Centre of Posture & Power

A 3-Day Online and Recorded

Feldenkrais Method® Immersion

with Mara Fusero

Saturday 16 - Monday 18 January 2027

What if your posture isn’t something you hold, but something that organizes before you even move?

Before you take a step or reach for a cup of coffee, a subtle shift happens deep within your centre: your pelvic floor adapts. It is not just a passive hammock or a muscle group to be blindly strengthened—it is the dynamic conductor of your entire movement system.

In this 3-day online intensive, Mara Fusero will guide participants through a deep, experiential exploration of the pelvic floor, moving far beyond basic contraction and superficial strength.

What We Will Explore:

The Concept of Acture: Discover the biomechanical state of readiness—the ability to move in any direction, at any moment, without needing to pre-adjust or brace your body.

Effortless Posture: Learn how the pelvic floor acts as a dynamic springboard, supporting your internal organs and naturally organizing your centre of gravity.

Removing Unnecessary Effort: A constantly tense muscle loses its power and adaptability; we will focus on shedding parasite tension and restoring full elasticity and range.

Inclusivity & Awareness: Essential for both women and men of all ages and movement backgrounds.

This experiential workshop will guide you through Awareness Through Movement® lessons designed to translate theory directly into sensation and perception. With guided explorations on the floor, in sitting, standing, and various positions, you will map and refine your self-image in real time. To anchor these practical movement experiences, clear hints of functional anatomy will be woven throughout the sessions, providing a structural framework for how the pelvic floor supports balance, posture, and power.

Why join us?

Whether you want to address chronic tensions, refine your walking and balance, or gain deeper insights into the subtle mechanics of functional organization, this workshop offers practical, transformational tools you can immediately integrate into your life and practice.

Who is it for?

Open to all—no prior Feldenkrais experience required.
